Re: Version 1.5.10
I scheduled my router to reset everyday at 3AM to prevent wireless dropping issues. It reduced the frequency but some minutes ago it occured again. But there's no anything related in logread or dmesg. Below the last entries on logread before the wireless have dropped: Jun 18 12:00:22 Gargoyle daemon...

Re: Version 1.5.10
file "/var/run/hostapd-phy0.conf". Do you know anything about this theme? I don't, but if you want to try changing the parameter in the file, you can either: -ssh in & use vi (something I wouldn't do) -ssh in, 'opkg install nano' and then 'nano /var/run/hostapd-phy0.conf' the file, ed...

Re: Version 1.5.10
I have to say, most of those messages border on generic junk. Except where your wireless device does down @ 583315 seconds, but it doesn't say why. Thank you BashfulBladder again! I had the same issue again and now I noticed the following message: IEEE 802.11: disconnected due to excessive missing ...

Re: Version 1.5.10
Hi, How can I check what is happening? logread? logread or dmesg There may a way to use the iw command line tool to get the interface into monitor mode, but I don't really know enough to provide guidance. Thank you BashfulBladder for your answer! I checked my logread and I found these entries. Chec...

Re: Version 1.5.10
Hi, Since the previous versions I have noticed the first days of using the wireless it is more stable. But after some days using it starts crashing. This new version it doesnt occur so frequently, but it still occurs. During the first week I didnt have any issue. After the first week instead, I noti...

Re: Version 1.5.10
I'm using this new version for 5 days. I noticed several improvements. The wireless is faster and stronger.
I installed extroot, minidlna and Transmission. They are running "lightly" and without crash, reeboot or error.
Thank you again Eric!

Re: Version 1.5.10
Eric,
Minidla instalation using opkg worked fine. But now I have disk space issues. I'll try extroot later. Thank you for your feedback.

Re: Version 1.5.10
Minidlna install isn't working on this new version:
root@Gargoyle:/tmp# gpkg install minidlna
ERROR: Dependency libffmpeg of package minidlna cannot be found, try updating your package lists
Thank you Eric for this upgrade! It sincerely seems great, even with this little issue.

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
Thank you yc3948 for your answer, but the power LED doesnt flash. It is always "on" and the sys LED always "off". If you router's power LED is flashing fast it means you are stuck in boot mode. Configure your computer's ethernet port to a manual IP address of 192.168.1.2. Then 'p...

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP
You need a Serial TTL cable to recover it. It's well explained in OpenWRT Wiki. I managed to brick mine twice too using sysupgrade file, don't know exactly why but with factory files it never happened. Do you know if this cable is compliance: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Blaster-Programmer-Cable-For...
