Re: Openwrt 19.07 based Gargoyle

I have to use L2TP for work and Gargoyle just won't play nice. I understand you don't recommend it, but how can we get it to work in Gargoyle? I don't have a choice, but I don't want to re-flash to a different firmware. I will, if I have to, given the pandemic, but if there was a way in Gargoyle it...

Re: Openwrt 19.07 based Gargoyle

Is it possible to build Gargoyle with support of connection via l2tp to a provider? On OpenWRT used openl2tp-full package which not accessible from default feeds. Tried xl2ltpd, but option not appeared. I do not recommend L2TP because of NSA violations. The explanation is here: https://www.gargoyle...

That makes sense. What is ant75 talking about, then, 1.11 not having wifi for the WRT32x?

Re: Stable/Fastest Gargoyle Router

In theory, no... but I never had one to test when I added OpenWrt support for it. If you are able to flash the regular wrt32x firmware I'd love to know about it so I can update the wiki. As others have attested to, as well, flashing the WRT32x went without a hitch. I have just brought the Linksys W...

Re: Stable/Fastest Gargoyle Router

I'm having a real tough time finding any information on the WRT32xb. Does it differ from the WRT32x in any way?

Re: Stable/Fastest Gargoyle Router

I ordered now the black WRT32X AC3200 and will try to update by your suggestion. Any things to be careful when i update? Or just go on the Update page, upload the file and set up my settings, correct? Can i somehow transfer my DHCP devices from my other router (text file or something else) Or i hav...

Re: Poor Wifi Performance on Device - 1.10

I can see a specific complaint about performance with your Intel wireless chip, however it was not able to be substantially proven and was solved by repositioning of the router and client. I’m not saying your problem doesn’t exist and isn’t real, but this is the report upstream. I'm certainly not r...

Would I be better off flashing to 1.09?

Poor Wifi Performance on Device - 1.10

Router: WRT1900AC v1 Device: Intel Compute Stick STK1AW32SC, ~1 foot away from the router OS: Lubuntu 18.04 Wireless: 5GHz, channel 149 I thought I might be going crazy, so I've swapped back and forth between Gargoyle and Linksys' stock firmware, but this device's wifi is plagued with problems with ...

Re: WRT1900AC v1 Fan Full Speed After Config Restore

What config did you restore onto it? The problem is that the CRON job to turn the fan down hasn’t run. To be honest, I’d just replace it with my (much better) version. This will shut the fan up, and give it the option of running at half speed during light loads before spinning up to 100% when temps...
