Monitor wired devices through Gargoyle?

I have a few WIRED smart TV's in my home that I want to send through the Gargoyle so I can issue quotas. I have the GL-AR150. Can I use the LAN to go into an ethernet switch, then plug all the TV's into the switch?

Re: QOS

A lot of good information in there. Nice to see I'm doing it right for some things but the QOS section is a bit like Chinese to me. I'll have to try to make some sense of it. Thanks.

QOS

How do I set up QOS to give bandwidth priority to one device (client), and subsequently throttle back other devices?

Re: LAN connection

Thanks for the reply. It looks like the clients connected to the extender appear as "connected hosts" just like they were connected directly to the Gargoyle router. Then I can set them up with a quota.

Re: LAN connection

I'm not sure I follow you. The data used by clients on the extender is relevant to me because I'm on a metered network (data cap). I don't have any problem identifying and measuring data usage of clients connected to the gargoyle router wifi, but I want to do the same for clients using the extender....

LAN connection

I added a Netgear Extender to the Gargoyle router, connected to the LAN port, and I want to measure data usage, but it doesn't even appear to be a connected host. Is that only possible for wireless hosts?

Restrictions won't block Google or Bing

I want my kids to only be able to use Norton Safe Search so I went in to Restrictions and blacklisted Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask, and AOL. I'm specifying the exact URL www.google.com.
So all of them get blocked except Google and Bing. Double checked spelling but they still get through.

Re: Intermittent connection

Oddly, the problem seems to have remedied itself. Works ok now. But I think you're right, the problem is most likely in the PC.

Re: Intermittent connection

That wouldn't be an option for me. I don't have any other router. May be a coincidence but I noticed it started happening around the time I did a Windows 7 update on the affected computer. Doesn't matter if I'm using Chrome or Explorer. Can I try something else?

Re: Intermittent connection

Sorry, but I neglected to explain that I never have a problem if I connect to a different router with that device, only when I connect to the Gargoyle do I have a problem.
