x86 installation options

I am evaluating whether to move my existing Gargoyle router to a spare x86 machine. I see there are several options for x86, but I do not understand which to use. I have the SSD formatted as EXT4. x86-64 x86-generic x86-geode I am guessing I would use x86-64 but would like some confirmation and/or g...

Re: Email,SMS notification

Instead of using print quotas you would need to use the bw_ commands. It that is a non trivial change. Unless your quota is for the whole system.

Primarily, I am looking at other charting options beyond what is there is BW Usage and BW Distribution. So mainly some new UI concepts on top of exis...

Re: Mounting remote fs on gargoyle with nfs

As a workaround I used scp to copy to the remote server without mounting but would be easier to mount locally.

As an aside, when you run scp interatively, it will add the host to /root/.ssh/known_hosts but when you run it in a service, you have to put it in /.ssh/known_hosts.

Re: Using Gargoyle as a wired Ethernet bridge for QOS only

I have similar config where I use gargoyle wired to ISP modem as gateway and the use orbi as AP and wired backhaul satellites. Works like a charm.
