Re: Quota Usage in 1.3.9

I came across the fix quite by accident. Nice thing is the counter doesn't reset to 0 either. Turned out to be revision 7ff666c4. http://www.gargoyle-router.com/gargoyle/projects/gargoyle/repository/revisions/7ff666c4881d532c7d1ea4e9f4426558202532f8 Also Revision 3bf86688 corrects the QoS bandwidth ...

Re: Quota Usage in 1.3.9

I'm having trouble locating the actual fix and revision in the repository. I'm wondering if this was the one?

Quota Usage in 1.3.9

I have a WRT54GL and 1.3.9 is the last version I can use for my router. It seems when making changes to the quota system it gets disabled and requires a reboot.

Is there a workaround for this?

Re: WRT54GL brcm47xx Wi-Fi failure

Culex, the dd-wrt versions of the broadcom K26 wireless driver and 2.6 kernel are not really comparable to b43, openwrt or gargoyle. First off the Mac Addr in the CFE I extracted was not the Mac Addr on the Router Label. Brick. Short pinning sort of worked, but with the wrong Mac Addr I couldn't pi...

Re: WRT54GL brcm47xx Wi-Fi failure

root@Gargoyle:/tmp/www# mtd unlock cfe
Could not open mtd device: cfe

argh.

Will have to flash dd-wrt, change the cfe and reflash gargoyle. btw it's an altered cfe from WRT54G-TM on the dd-wrt site.

Re: WRT54GL brcm47xx Wi-Fi failure

I think the issue has to do with the Wifi driver. When the wifi drops I can ssh in and manually restart the wireless driver. Lan connections are unaffacted. However it still intermittently locks up and require a power cycle when running commands ie. top or opkg. I think it has to do with the k26 ker...

Re: WRT54GL brcm47xx Wi-Fi failure

I am glad to hear that you got v1.3.9 running reliably for you . The prospected of ever sustaining 15Mbps with a GL seem dim to me. I would suggest that you enable QoS on your downlink and then limit the bandwidth to around 8Mbps. That would keep your CPU from saturing and it might be interesting t...

Re: Wifi Died 1.5.2 wrt54gl

The problem has to do with the brcm47xx driver and k26 kernel. Both OpenWRT and Gargoyle are unstable with this configuration. In both instances wifi dies requiring a type of manual reset. Also several times with both firmware's running 'opkg list' caused the router to reboot for no apparent reason....

Re: Wifi Died 1.5.2 wrt54gl

Changed Authentication to WPA TKIP, AES doesn't work period. No dice. Internet still cuts out. On occassion the router will actually panic and reboot. Turned out wireless was pretty unusable. I could be watching Netflix for 2 hours, then restarting 10 times after trying to download a 64mb file becau...

Re: Wifi Died 1.5.2 wrt54gl

Yeah nothing. hostapd process is still running. Dont know if it gets killed and restarted using the command 'wifi'. If you notice in the logs the wifi gets reenabled only to get disabled and reenabled again a a few seconds later which is redundant. Would be nice if there was a way to get gdb in ther...
