Re: DNS issue inside router, clients are OK

Thanks for the prompt response, but my question remains unanswered. The only option I see in "Connect Via" is Static IP (Wired), but I would have to connect the wired cable from the other router on the WAN port, and that would not replicate the DHCP from the main router and I would have LA...

DNS issue inside router, clients are OK

I'm currently facing an issue where the clients connected to the router have normal access to the internet, with full DNS resolution, but the router itself does not. This is the command from a client: xubuntu@xubuntu:~$ ping -c 3 www.g1.com.br PING www.g1.com.br (186.192.90.5) 56(84) bytes of data. ...

Re: Firmware file for D-Link 880L?

up for this post.

I also have a DIR-880L from D-Link and would like to install Gargoyle on it. It is supported by dd-wrt and the specs are available on the internet, so I don't understand why it is not supported by openwrt.

Re: Enabling routing between two subnets on two Gargoyle routers

I solved this by using the wireless bridge/repeater mode.
That way, the main router is providing with the DHCP addresses, so there is no subnet problem.

I did connect the routers on wired mode now, but will create a separate thread for it.

The curl package dependency seems to be broken - not sure if related to the upgrade: root@Gargoyle:/usr/sbin# opkg update Downloading package list for chaos_calmer_base source... Same problem with 5ghz on TP-Link TL-WDR4300 v1. On logread I see this error message after sending a 'wifi' command. Re: Network slowdown with 1.10.0

Thanks. I've tried multiple combinations and getting coverage at the same level as the previous firmware.

Note to self: take note of all configs before upgrading.

RESOLVED: Network slowdown with 1.10.0

TP-Link TL-WDR4300 v1, running version 1.10.0 with extroot. Upgraded using factory image w/o preserving settings. Same router was running on 1.9.1 before. On more than two occasions the router stopped responding: I tried browsing the router config page but it timed out. On some occasions it just han...
