Let me know your results.
I've testing testing this patch with L7 "HTTP video" filter protocol selected.
When I view youtube videos with HTML5 beta enabled the "Bandwidth Maximum" limit works (only for applicable videos of course) . When it is not enabled it doesn't. So my guess is that this filter relies on the <video> tag being present (ie. HTML5).

Hi all,

I'd like to revert back to stock TP-Link firmware. Is there a guide for this?

Many thanks.

Getting back on topic... Just tested it, copied the file over with scp, (made a backup of the original) - but I still get the error saying that (There is an error in application (layer 7) protocol. Could not update the rule)

Edit: oops, my bad! Forgot that IE caches javascript!

Another issue... time seems to revert to UTC-8... also, when choosing servers it doesnt update (at least, not on the spot). Do I need to wait an hour?

If you have errors with settings not saving:

1) reset to defaults

or

2) reflash and re-configure from scratch

Don't reload an old config, something may be corrupted.

As far as time not syncing - reboot the router and then check.

Mitar how did you install gargoyle? Did you use a ready-made image?

Thanks for the response... still having issues though... a reboot didn't help...

Trying to reflash, but it doesn't actually reflash the unit. It just sits there telling me that its updating the firmware...

Or do I need to flash it via tftp? Does the web-interface update firmware not work for everyone, or is it just me?

Try re-uploading via TFTP

For a full complete flash/erase, I usually flash another firmware
(like dd-wrt or the factory firmware) then re-flash Gargoyle.

But yea - try a TFTP flash
