What about Restore Old Configuration and Attempt to Preserve Settings from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8 ?
Any success for TL MR3420 ?
Updated it ( TL MR 3420)
For now, all work fine, includdin Preserve Settings from 1.5.7 to 1.5.8.
Just USB FTP share is not present. It may be a hardware limitation, right ?
have you inserted a usb drive?
Yes,
two sticks. FAT32
Do you had sucess with it ? Is your router a TL MR3420 ?

Insalled latest 1.5.8 with no problems.
Went in and setup all settings as before.
Using VPN , DMZ and port forwarding. They seem to work ok, will verify VPN in the next day or two.
I had a USB drive attached on ver 1.5.6 and it work ed fine.
1.5.8 does not detect the USB drive, also tried putting a jump drive on the port and it does not get detected either.
TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v1
Any ideas???

intalled gargoyle in tp-link 1043nd v1.6 according to sticker. this one was tough one though.
eric, with latest gargoyle version all browsers kept saying "please choose a file for upgrade" this was with tp-link fw. it occurred to use an older gargoyle flavor so i went back to the 1.5.6 (before the attitude adjustment releases) release and was able to install it through the gui, i was then able to install 1.5.8 upgrade without any problems.
i was able to setup usb cifs and ftp with no problems. check the urls posted...

Everything seems to work fine with me except date and time shows wrong. The question is how to get it fixed ? Any idea why i have this issue.
What router are you using Ispyisail ? Maybe this problem is specific for some routers.

Flashed 1.5.8 to my wzr-hp-g300nh a couple of days ago to test with, everything seems working fine with it, using it as a client+AP (repeater). Thanks devs!

USB appears to be real picky as to the drive attached.
I reported eaarlier I could not get it to see the attached drive and after more testing found it would attach some drives and not others.
I had a WD book 500mb drive attached under version 1.5.6 and it will not work with 1.5.8.
A 1gb usb jump drive will not attach either.
Back to more testing.. Thanks to all the hard work todate.
I will test the VPN tomorrow , it worked fine under 1.5.6.
Thanks...
