802.11G router xfta bricked

Post by Garmuffull »

I just bought three of these routers and all three are bricked. I've gone through the posts and tried some of the simple fixes. Nothing worked! I am not a computer minded person so please keep any advise in easy to understand, I'm old, terms. If it won't ping so I can type in the address, what do I do next? How do I jtag, step by step? If you can help me then where do I send these things to?

Since there is no support for this router concerning the bricked situation, I would like to know where to send these routers so I can get my money back. Also I don't recommend this product to anyone, it's junk and a money grab for the manufacturer!

Are you atleast able to ping the router on IP address 192.168.1.1? I'm asking because mines bricked last week and I got it up and running just last night but to recover it the way I did you at least need to be able to ping it (even if the web GUI is not responding).

My xfta router is bricked and I can't get it to pin using 192.168.1.1 or anything. I did a ipconfig and it came back 192.168.0.1 and still no luck as far as recovring it. Any idea?
