WDS with dual band enabled

Just wondering if further configuration of dual band wireless is a priority for development? I'm currently largely getting around the need for WDS by using DD-WRT in client bridge mode on my second router. This is doing the job for most things, but due to the funny stuff it does to MAC addressing seems to be messing up multicasting and preventing mDNS from working (thereby blocking zeroconf/avahi/bonjour). Not a big problem really, but I would like my bespoke time machine to start working again and am wondering if it's worth trying to tinker out a solution in the meantime...

Is anyone working on this, or are there bigger fish to fry at the moment?

Also interested in setting other router settings (channel width, broadcast power etc) individually at some point...

One of the biggest issues is probably lack of hardware for Eric
to do the testing on I would think.

Am not sure how many devices he has, but that would be the hardest
part - trying to test each release out on every router possible.

I've sent Eric routers in the past, but currently, the only dual-band
router I have is a Netgear WNDR3300, which is pretty low on
Flash and normal Ram, so not much point in testing on that one.

I had the idea he now had a DLink DIR-825b? If it's diversity of testing that is at issue, I'd be happy to help by giving it a go on my WNDR3700s (figure that if it works on the dlink it should have at worst minor problems on my gear as they are very similar), but I understand that it's a problem if he's still short on gear...

I've been using client bridge mode as well and love it! It would be nice if I could use the 5ghz radio to do it as well. If testing is an issue, I'm using 3 WNDR3700 routers distributed throughout my house all running gargoyle so I could easily help test if necessary.
