Gargoyle behind other router and QOS

Post by pheekay »

Hi there!

I'm currently using Gargoyle on my TP-Link 1043 and I'm really happy with it. Especially QOS works very well for my needs...

Right now I have a normal DSL Modem connected to the WAN Port of the TP-Link and the TP-Link establishes the pppoe connection.

My ADSL connection will be changing soon though, so i will have to use voip + another modem (because the new dsl connection will be annex-j, which is supported only by few modems).

So now I'm wondering if it's possible to use the TP-Link with gargoyle behind a fritzbox (dsl modem + router + voip) and still be able to use gargoyle's qos.

Thanks! So i just connect gargoyles wan port to the voip router lan and instead of pppoe i choose static ip? and i guess i would have to forward all ports except voip to the gargoyle router?

I'd just setup dmz to the gargoyle router and let it handle things from there.
