Any idea what bursts of these, sometimes for long stretches, in the System log might be about?

Code: Select all

daemon.err uhttpd[1709]: sh: write error: Broken pipe

Poor coding, but inconsequential at this stage

https://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargoyle/pull/595

Resized most of the edit windows to suit the new UI.
Left Restrictions and Quotas edit windows as they were (because they can vary in size so much!).

If anyone spots anything else keep them coming please.

OK, here are some cosmetic things that I noticed:

1) On Status/Overview, multiple DNS IPs are oddly justified:
Image

2) Status/BW Graphs are massive (FF, Chrome), with all three being much larger than the largest table in 1.9.1. BW and QoS Distribution have much the same problem with the pie charts. It's especially problematic if the browser isn't full-screen (no problem like this in 1.9.1).

3) Sometimes, check boxes and their descriptions are nearby (e.g Connection/Basic), but other times not (Connection/DHCP).

Thanks

Might this be a good time to add support in the UI for WAN DNS when configured for Static IP? It is not as if it's optional, you will find it in other firmware such as DD-WRT, and the workaround is obscure at best.

I'll try and look into it
Thanks Lantis for looking into this, it would be great if this bug could be fixed.

Thanks also for working on this Mobile-friendly version - it's a great (and much needed) UI improvement!

1. Fixed
2. I made these smaller in an earlier version and was overruled by Eric. I'll raise it again as he may not have been aware of the consequence of the change.
3. Not really fixable at this stage. The distance between them is a function of the screen size (and parent container size). A full screen container will have elements spaced further apart.

Just to add to point 2 raised above - when using the browser/windows zoom function all elements scale up and down, except the graphs, which does appear a little strange on the eye :o

I concur with previous kudos - the mobile interface is an awesome step in the right direction!

there is a typo in qos download->active congestion control->Enable active congestions control (Download Direction)
i think in previous builds it'd say Enable active congestion control (Download Direction) without the s in congestion.

thanks for the update, it looks great!

If we have the version from a few days ago loaded, does this still apply?
