Hi there guys. I have a dlink 2740b and there are 6 computers at the house. 100 gigs dont seam to be enough so I want to see who is using what.
Can I install gargoyle on it and if not, what would be the best way for me to go so they would not know I am monitoring?

http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/d-link/dsl-2740b

Currently not supported by OpenWRT

So unfortunately no support by Gargoyle for this router.

Check the download section for compatible Gargoyle routers.

My understanding is that it has to be supported by AT LEAST OpenWRT stable for it to work.

What I did is bought a router specifically FOR Gargoyle - Netgear WNDR 3800. VERY happy with it! VERY!!

And this was after trying my luck with getting a V2 of WNDR3700... I got a V3, wouldn't you know it.

The 3800 can be bought from Amazon for $111, vs the ~$80 or so I paid for the 3700v3 with coupon code. (Yes, this post will be dated in no time at all. :-/)

BOTH great routers though! They replaced my aged Linksys WRT54GSv3.
Netgear WNDR3800 w/Gargoyle 1.5.8 (using)
Netgear WNDR3700v3 w/Factory FW (now as backup)
Noticed wireless is stronger in WNDR3800 too.
