DHCP, PPoE. static...
if you connect with DHCP, is it possible that the DHCP lease of your old routersetup is blocking your access.
TP-Link is using a wrong MAC address for the WAN port, so after upgrading to Gargoyle/OpenWRT will you get the correct MAC address (that is different from the one of TP-Link).
You can call your ISP at get them to release your DHCP lease.

I do not have that much experience with PPPoE.
I guess that you have tried to connect the WAN port to something else or with another cable. Just to make sure that it is the WAN port that has a problem.

It was my first updating of firmware.
I configured Gargoyle through the Web-interface.
As how it is possible to change in a configuration in a command line?

Why doesn't work under Gargoyle?
At whom the same problem? How it to solve?

If you can't bridge your ADSL router you might need to do double NAT
Also can you show us screen shots of you working config of your original firmware

Re: TP-Link -1043ND - No access to internet - WAN port not
I have a similar problem. I got up this morning, no internet access. I'm connected directly to the modem to type this. For some reason, 1.4.7 won't connect to the internet after multiple power up/downs of the modem and the router, it just won't connect.
What the's best way to debug? Are we talking a re-flash here? Is there a known problem? It's been working fine for a week, no problems and then this!
