However, for some (but not all) sections, the network needs to be restarted after settings are saved which does involve a connection drop. The network should come right back up afterwards, though.
Yes that is correct - seems to have been extended to more areas, or may just be my impression but QOS amendments and restrictions now cause an internet drop. QOS is fine, the restrictions is a little bit of a pain as I may want to terminate the childrens connection (which I do by having a always on rule which I disable/enable) whilst in a game but the spike will throw me out.
Is it just me or i just lost lots of configuration going from 1.5.3 to 1.5.4. I dont have a DHCP under connection anymore and i dont have portforward and restriction under firewall anymore
What i did is a gargoyle_1.5.4-ar71xx-wndr3700-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin to the new veresion and restored the previous backup.tar.gz right after.
Yep I experienced the same issue - the fix to stop losing the config also didn't seem to work, just decided to load the firmware again and redo from scratch rather than restore and that resolved.
Works great on TL-WR941ND. Thanks Eric and others.
I want to know about the support condition for Asus RT N-16 as people are running openwrt on it well not officially but it is working. Eric do you mind looking on that ? Asus RT N-16 is supported by Debwrt. There are many users like me who are eagerly waiting for openwrt support for this device. Here is the working firmware
1.4.7 working fine on my WRT54GL. One thing I have been doing is removing the b43-legacy module from /etc/modules.d/ since it is loaded but not used. This seems to help free up some precious memory.
