Hello, I'm trying to setup a simple network. Im somewhat of a beginner. I know how to do this in dd-wrt, but for the v2 of my router, DD-WRT really sucks right now
I have two WNDR3700v2's both flashed to gargoyle. The primary router is setup as is (stock @ 192.168.0.1) , and I'm trying to get the 2nd router static to 192.168.0.2, and disable the DHCP, and forward all requests to the main router. I dont want to use WDS, especially since my whole house is etherneted up.
What I have tried to do was set up the 2nd router to a static ip, 192.168.0.2, and it routes correctly, but dissapears on me. (can no longer access the gui)
Is there a guide I can follow, or the correct steps to create a single network between these two routers so that all devices on the primary router can access devices on the 2nd router.

Re: Wired Repeaters
how are you going with this project?
from my understanding of your post you need to put the second router in bridge mode

Why not switch?
Or disable WAN, disable DHCP, and put wire from router 1 into any LAN port on second one.
