Using Safari, sysupgrade firmware install hangs TL-WR1043ND

Post by alberto56 »

Hi all,

I purchased a new TL-WR1043ND router, and followed the instructions at http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... l-wr1043nd

I am using 1.4.7 (stable).

At the last step, when trying to install sysupgrade, I get this screen for over one hour: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/do ... iew&id=476

How long is this supposed to take? Because there is no progress bar or indication as to what is happening, I unhooked the modem, which bricked it. I managed to bring it back to life with http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1583722, then tried to upgrade the firmware to sysupgrade again, but it hanged again.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Albert.

What happens if you use the -factory firmware, to factory reset it when upgrading the versions?

upgrade hangs on Safari on Mac OS

thanks for your response. I tried installing factory upgrade, and it hanged also. I then had a feeling that my Safari browser was to blame, and sure enough this works with Firefox. Using Firefox has resolved this issue for me

thanks,

Albert.
