Hi everyone,
The setup in my house is I have a wired DHCP which provides ips. Connected to this network I have a wireless AP providing the WLAN. Anything connecting to this AP receives an ip automatically from the DHCP server.
I have just configured a TP-LINK WR741ND as a wireless bridge/ repeater with firmware 1.3.10 and also tried 1.3.16.
It connects to the AP as a client bridge and with an configured static IP every client connected to the wired side of the TP-Link is working fine.
The issue I am having is that any computer connected to the ethernet port of the TP-Link in Client Bridge mode does not automatically receive an ip from the DHCP server and I must set a ip manually to get things running.
Any ideas?
Christian

Check that out.
That may be the issue.

Looks like DHCP via Client Bridge mode is un-supported on OpenWRT
