Tried 1.3.9 and 1.3.10 with same results - maximum wifi rate of mine is 130Mbit with average transfer rate ~3.0-3.5MByte/s in both direction. There is NO obstacles, distance no more than 3 meter.. on factory f/w i have 300Mbit.
Unfortunately factory f/w do not have gargoyle`s functionality (ap+wds mode, etc.). So, there are couple of "?":
1) how i can set up 300Mbit rate? Both router and clients are supported it in hardware.
2) how i can migrate to dd-wrt if (1) is impossible? Is there any sence to do it?
3) how it can be reverted to factory f/w if (1) and (2) are impossible?

3) Check this page on DD-WRT for factory revert files.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0
You have to be logged in to DD-WRT to see the attachments
2) Once you have DD-WRT or Open-WRT installed, you SHOULD be
able to flash back and forth between the 2 of them.
Always make sure you do a reset to defaults before flashing back
and forth between the 2 of these firmwares.
1) Sorry - no info on the 300 mbit - I haven't done wireless testing
on 1.3.10 yet, I'll try that this weekend and see what kind of
connection and speed rates I get.

Make sure you are using a channel width of 40Mhz and not 20Mhz.
Re: [TP-Link WR941ND] wireless 130Mbit
It seems that "40MHz b/w" PLUS moving to channel 3 do the work. Now i see real thoroughput 3.8-4.3 MByte/s in both direction and it reports 300Mbit connection.
What average speed can be aquired with 2T2R 300Mbit MIMO ?

kotofei which version of hardware do you have ? also the firmware you are using ? have you tried the 1.3.9 release ?

try 1.3.9
=130Mbit
try 1.3.10
=130Mbit
read 1st reply on this thread
=130Mbit
read 2nd reply on this thread
set 40MHz bandwith
little magic (don`t understand why selecting "channel=3" do the trick while wifi N only clients was used
=300Mbit
Btw, i`ve try tp-link 3420 (stock f/w) with same clients and there is 4.3-4.5 MByte/s real thoroughput without dropdowns. So, at least in wi-fi speed factory`s f/w are better than gargoyle.
Re: [TP-Link WR941ND] wireless 130Mbit
I have the same problem.
Firmware is 1.3.14
If I specify a bandwidth of 40 Hz, the router operates in G.
If I specify a bandwidth of 20 Hz, the router operates in N (130Mbit/s).
If the problem can not, then how to install the factory firmware?
