TL-WR741N/ND v1 not updating settings

Hi all,

Loving the features of Gargoyle Barrier Breaker 1.7.0.

The trouble is, after initially inputting my settings, I can't then make any changes. What I mean is, I can make changes - for example adding an ip range for a new quota, but when I press save, it goes back to what I had before.

Not only that, and more alarmingly, it resets all the quotas used so far to zero.

Any ideas out there anyone?

I did try 1.7.1 and the problem with that release was it kept dropping the WAN settings - wouldn't keep for longer than 30 seconds. I know I should have reported it, but I panicked to get my shared internet back up.

Do we know if that issue has been resolved?

I note that Tapper has mentioned the same problem with his modem using 1.7.1 - how's that working out for you?

1.7.1 has been pretty stable for me over the last week. I have read reports of issues with the WAN dropping, but I have not experienced it (3G WAN). There has been some weirdness reported that I have seen.

1.6.2 is the rock solid choice.
