Western Digital My Net N750 support?

Post by hello_world.c »

This router has been supported by openwrt for a little while:

http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/wd/n750

Is there an ETA when we can expect a Gargoyle build for it? Next release? I love Gargoyle, but the router I am currently running it on is getting long in the tooth...

Watch the table of hardware for your router over at OpenWRT (as you referenced), when you see a number in the VERSION column of the table then you have about 1 month longer to wait before a Gargoyle release will be available for it.

Great to know that Gargoyle is now available for this fantastic (for the price) router. Sadly the line has been discontinued by WD.

Personally I didn't want to wait, bit the bullet and switched to OpenWRT, with the expected learning curve to overcome at first. Has been running rock-solid for months and I would expect Gargoyle to work just as well.

Wouldn't this device only be supported under OpenWrt Barrier Breaker (trunk)? and thereby not directly supported by GarGoyle?

Or does GarGoyle now also creates builds aganst OpenWrt Barrier Breaker?

Hi again, you could've done a search at wikidevi(answer for many questions putted here at Gargoyle), edited by me... OfModemsandMen can be a good option for you, for freedom options i'm using it myself on my N750 and works great: Mwan3 is very good!

Hi,

are there any news regarding the WD N750?

@ tapper ... I see you are using a Polish Modified Version of Gargoyle. Is it running stable on the WD N750?

Are there any other firmwares?

Wouldn't it be possible to compile a firmware for the WD N750 by your own?

Hi there mate.
Put this URL in to Google Translate:
http://eko.one.pl/?p=openwrt-gargoylepl

Download:
http://dl.eko.one.pl/gargoyle-pl/attitu ... nt/ar71xx/

the file you want if your on stok fermwair is gargoyle-1.6.2.2-ar71xx-mynet-n750-squashfs-factory.bin

If your on openwrt you want gargoyle-1.6.2.2-ar71xx-mynet-n750-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

Wen you first install it will show the interface in polish but it real simple to click the english butten good luck!

By the way i am from the UK and dont speak polish! lol
Its verry stable
