If add support for 3G in the current firmware for mr3420 it difficult,
then may be free up space for the installation of the module USB Storage Support for Gargoyle.

USB Storage Support for Gargoyle Module Required Disk Space 5,249 MBytes and 16 megabyte flash drive it should fit.

The MR3420 original firmware sucks. Change it to Open WRT as in this tutorial. It saved my life, the router work much better and the 3g back link is great

Comment:
seems a bit spammy and can't confirm legitimacy of firmware.

As per the previous responses, no. There is not enough flash space.

You could try a firmware from eko.one.pl which may have squeezed it in.

Thanks. The hardware is now up to v5 (which is what I have) but regardless of whether it now has enough memory it is not supported by Open-WRT. Only v2 supports 4G modems and Open-WRT.
