Static IPs

Post by Rosevalley »

Hello together,

I bought a Archer C7 and installed Gargoyle 1.9.1 on it.
I would like to Quota the max total up and download for some PCs in my network. For that I would like to give a special mac-adress a permanent same IP adress under CONNECTION -> DHCP -> STATIC IPs . However, the system says "There is an error in End. Changes could not be applied".
Can somebody help me with this issue?

And sorry about my bad english.

Kind regards from Germany

Andreas

Here it is, hope it works with the pictures.

I think I have fixed the issue. I entered a IP Start: 192.168.2.100 to End: 192.168.2.254, but the router IP is 192.168.2.200. So I changed the End IP to 192.168.2.199. And I activated the Enforce DHCP assignment.
Now I can enter the MAC Adress an a IP Adress.

But now there is the next issue.
Most of the entered MAC Adresses get the correct IP Adress. But some do not.

For example Jannis PC

In the List of the connected Hosts there is an other IP for Jannis PC:

The lease has probably not expired for the pcs ip address from before you sorted out the router config - open a dos prompt on the PC and type "ipconfig /renew" and then check again.
