OpenVPN problem

Post by gipsonTHEone »

Hi
I have TP-Link TL-WDR4300 v1 with Gargoyle Version:1.7.1.
I try to run OpenVPN that the clinet opvn can see devices in local LAN.
Seems to be easy - couse i start server on router - check "allow clients to access hosts on Lan", create clients, download all certs and keys.
All certs and keys put in OpenVPN program install on my PC and even more my PC contect to VPN.
The problem is that i can`t see any device in local LAN. I can only ping/ eneter to router but i cant connected to other PC/ devices.
Has onyone idea what i should add (and where)?

By chance, do you have Gargoyle - Connection - Wireless - Wireless Client Isolation Enabled ?
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

I think that you should disable Wireless Client Isolation.

Sorry, but I do not know the solution to your VPN problem. :-(

So seems to be software problem/bug.
i found another problem. In firewall option forward ports.
router open port but not forwarding - i think. I use synology and i want to have access, so forward 5000 port to Synology IP. In orginal stock TP LINK software works perfectly, in gargoyle not. I check in port scaner - port is open but still i can`t connect to snology.
in free time a try another software in my router

I think that there is something else going on here - because other people are using the VPN and port forwarding functions successfully! I do not personally use VPN but I certainly forward ports without a problem.

Perhaps you could post screen shots of your VPN setting page, port forward settings and status page - and someone here might be able to spot a config issue.

Hi
Now i use VPN via Synogloy. But still i have problem to connect to synology via Intetrnet (DSM works on port 5000) . As i wrote did`t work port forwarding.
I have the same config in stock TPLINK firmware and works.

Just a thought - have you verified that 192.168.10.101 is accepting connections on these ports? (ie from a LAN address)

I use openVPN

a lot of information is missing from this post

You don't need to use port forward

screen shot of your VPN config page please

Usually subnet needs to be different at both ends e.g.
192.168.10.x
192.168.1.x

What client are you using? version?

router to router??
PC to router?
What OS?
