Re: roaming with multiple wired AP's?
I think what you are interested in is a repeater/bridge to do that you go to Connection and under "Device Configuration" select Wireless Bridge/Repeater instead of gateway, than you can scan and attach yourself to the other network. Now the gargoyle will 'repeat' the same signal with all t...

Re: Changed default IP address, now can't access router
I think you still have your default gateway set to the old router IP which means you can't find the new one and the old IP no longer exists anywhere. Did you try to 'reconnect' simply unplug and plug back your network cable from the pc. That should do give you the new ip addresses and you should be ...

Re: Good small business router

Anyway I was able to use tftp after some wresling with arp command I figured out having a switch in between and typing the arp static route for the router then used the windows tftp command and it wo...

Re: Good small business router
thanks! I will try the tftp first and if I can't catch it the second method will do. I don't own this JTAG cable, how did it crash? I'd like to know not to do that which crashes it in this case :) Once Gargoyle is installed will it update from web as usual or does it have to be done in tftp or the s...

Good small business router
Hi, I'm looking for a router that has enough memory and flash with 4 ports. I only found the routers Asus WL500G Premium from the two suggested in install guide but it doesn't have stock or won't ship outside the US. The Linksys WRT54G-TM seems hard to find new and I don't know if I would trust thos...

Re: WRT54GL stuck in rebooting cycle/loop
Last thing on this thread is to understand what I learned from this: 1. There's some kind of bug when changing MAC then changing reboot schedule, then rebooting that puts the router in this reboot cycle/loop. Maybe this will be hard to pin point so if it's not common problem we can't do much about i...

Re: WRT54GL stuck in rebooting cycle/loop
Also forgot to mention that the scheduled reboot was set to once a week (sun 12am) and I had set it back to no schedule. I worked it out to be around 30 seconds that I can access the router until it reboots again, SSH or web interface so I know the hardware should be fine (unless it's a very strange...
