Re: Version 1.4.2
I've found out the problem with the 5GHz signal attenuation on my router. My cordless phone base station seating next to the router is operating in the 5GHz and it has the range of 100m, so the poor router is being snuffed by the powerful phone tx.

Re: Version 1.4.2
caeci11ius, I don't use torrent nor PPTP, and I don't use QoS so I can't comment on their effects. However during the few weeks that it worked on my router I did experience random internet access lost and reset several times. Now I am running v1.3.16 as only a fresh v1.4.2 TFTP works; but when I tri...

Re: Version 1.4.2
I've been using the v1.4.2 for a few weeks on my WNDR3700v1 after upgrading from v1.3.16 using the web interface. But yesterday I encountered a problem after trying to save a new config. The problem is I cannot see the router anymore and all internet access is lost. I tried for re-flash the router w...

Re: Version 1.3.16 -- Second Release Candidate
I am running Gargoyle 1.3.16 on the WNDR3700 v1. When I setup the wireless section I can't seem to find the option to enable the 5GHz. On the original Netgear firmware I have the option to enable/disable and specify separate encryption passwords for each of them. At the moment only the 2.4GHz LED li...

Re: Version 1.3.14
I am running 1.3.14 on my Netgear WNDR3700 v1 they are working fine after I go through and configure the settings from scratch. I don't have the blank connected hosts info like other members here. However, the backup configuration from Gargoyle version 1.3.13 does not work. At first I thought maybe ...

Re: DIR-825 Website Filter?
If you Google the topic there would be some explanations on the steps to set that up. However, a quick/short answer to that is in the LAN box (Connection, Basic) under Allow Alternate DNS: Force Clients To Use Router DNS Servers; ticks Custom DNS Servers, then Add the server ip address of your choic...

WNDR3700v1 Netgear Live parental control
Hi,
I've been using the Gargoyle v1.3.13 for the last few weeks and no problem so far. I wonder if there is anyway I can use the netgear.opendns.com as a dynamic DNS service? The reason is that it allows me to use time of day blocking of undesirable sites. Thanks
