Re: wa850RE- cant connect to web UI
I have a TL-WA850RE v1.2 with Gargoyle 1.8.1 works great. The only issue I've run into is u-apsd (WMM Powersave) on an older cell phone. However, running with WMM disabled works around the issue. Is the SSID you want to connect to hidden? I seem to recall not scanning for a network. I knew what chan...

Re: WR1043ND and Canon LPB5100
So glad you found a solution. :D In order for CUPS to work it has to have a print driver. In my case the CUPS drivers from Canon were of the wrong architecture. Luckily, the printer is capable of PostScript and PCL. So from Windows I set up a PostScript or PLC printer and the printer takes the data ...

Merry Christmas!
Quick question. Does this mean the end to the wireless client bridge repeater (utilizing ebtables)?

Re: WR1043ND and Canon LPB5100
Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the drivers?

I have an Canon LBP6670 and print PCL5e because the proprietary drivers add another level of complexity.

Re: Versions 1.9.0 & 1.8.1
Thank you Developers. I can only imagine the time and effort it takes to make Gargoyle. I have found 1.8.1 to work well on both TL-WA850REv1 and TL-WR841Nv9 as as Wireless Bridge/Repeater. With 1.9.0 I am able to configure and ssh in but devices that connect to wlan0-1 will not receive an address (f...

Re: Versions 1.9.0 & 1.8.1
Interesting. I have not run it as a gateway. It's very stable as a Client Bridge Repeater. Re: Versions 1.9.0 & 1.8.1
Installed factory 1.9.0 on TL-WR841N v9 successfully. Shifted to client bridge repeater configuration and it would not serve addresses to clients. Installed sysupgrade 1.8.1 and it works. With my ancient 2012 Android cell phone, get the deauth/auth coincident with wpa pairwise key handshake, which i...

Re: Versions 1.9.0 & 1.8.1
I am confused. Without WMM you should get g-speeds. The wireless-N phones get g-speeds but a netbook with a 2x2 TL-WDN3200 gets n-speed. Looks like it still does 2 streams. Since it's an extender throughput is much lower than the connection. Speed test with the netbook is 11MB/sec (half) with the si...
