Re: WZR-HP-G300NH-R Fail
Linux on PC, not on router. Router, when booting, goes to solid (not blinking) red DIAG led almost immediately. On my PC, when I boot the router, I get connected/disconnected messages about 3 times. [78678.950322] tg3 0000:08:00.0: eth0: Link is down [78826.814396] tg3 0000:08:00.0: eth0: Link is up...

Re: WZR-HP-G300NH-R Fail
I'm not having much luck with TFTP either. I just tried to TFTP the original DD-WRT Pro image from Buffalo onto the router. No Go. Just times out. Looking at DMESG I see the connection go up and down a couple of times. I could really use some pointers here, detailed instructions would be better. I'd...

WZR-HP-G300NH-R Fail
Hi there, I just received my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH-R (Refurb) in the mail today (http://www.computers-canada.ca/store/products/1027013475/WZR-HP-G300NH-R/Buffalo/). I tried following the instructions from this page: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/doku.php?id=buffalo_wzr-hp-g300nh I plugged it i...

Re: Denied access log for whitelist?
Actually, if you look at the web access log you get the page requested, even if it was denied by the restrictions. Atleast, it worked that way until the log hit 300, then it crapped out and showed nothing. Still trying to get it cleaned out.

Denied access log for whitelist?
Hi there. I have just setup my router with a whitelist restriction. I did it using only one rule, so far. The rule says to limit everyone, except two MACs (the parental laptops) to the whitelist. It seems to be working great. I'm still playing with it. What I am wondering is, is there a log of pages...

Re: Any problems upgrading from 1.0.15 to 1.2.5?
OK, did the upgrade. Upgrading through the web interface didn't go so well. I'm not sure if it hung, or if its just the odd way this router goes. The reboot at the end left me with wireless working still, but using the cable modem for DNS. (I got a 71.x.x.x IP instead of 192.168.1.x) So, I hooked up...

Re: Any problems upgrading from 1.0.15 to 1.2.5?
Thanks. I suspected that would be the case but I was hopeful (and lazy).
I guess I'll have to wait for a free evening to do the upgrade so that I have the time to copy/re-enter the settings.
Other than the settings, there shouldn't be an issue, tho?
Thanks,
Statik

Any problems upgrading from 1.0.15 to 1.2.5?
Hi all, Been running 1.0.15 for a while now and was looking at upgrading to 1.2.5 (latest stable) on my AW430. I made a backup and was going to use the web-based upgrade option. Other than the expected root IP changes that I'll have to account for, are there any other gotcha's I need to be aware of?...

Anyone tried the TP-Link WR1043ND?
Hi again all, In my quest to find the most inexpensive but feature rich router supported by gargoyle, I came across this: http://xpresscanada.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=026991&cid=NTW.489 It apparently has support from dd-wrt and open-wrt although I'm not quite sure to what ...
