Re: Semi bricked tl-wr1043nd

It's possible to flash. You just need to:

-assign a static IP in your computer
-set up a http server and put the firmware image in wwwroot directory

#router
-go to failsafe mode
-cd /tmp
-wget http://computer_ip_adress/firmware.bin
-mtd -r write firmware.bin firmware

That's it

Unfortunately I can't help you, I'm not a developer...

You have to wait till a dev traces the bug and fixes it. I recommend you to report the problem.

Re: Gargoyle ar71xx 2012-November-28

Not yet, you have to wait some time. Or you may want to try V7 but it could brick and will require at least a serial TTL and some soldering to unbrick.

Re: Version 1.5.8 - USB Storage with FTP

You don't need JTAG, only serial TTL(5v signal).

Re: WAN Accelerator or WAN Speed Improvements

Actually OpenWRT support squid, but I have tried it once on a TL-WR1043nd with a 500mb cache flashdisk and browsing became slow as hell. However it works very well on Computers. :)
