Re: Add GUI for VLAN configurations

So I've spent a fair amount of time trying to get both a 1.8 and 2.1 version wr1043nd working with tagging. Even took the 2.1 to a friend of mine that works at at isp and no combination of tagging and untagging would get tagged traffic coming out of the wan port. I have some other options to play wi...

Re: Add GUI for VLAN configurations

Just looking at this again which will hopefully be requied by me on Thursday. I've looking through the configs and just see this section of yours: config switch_vlan option device 'switch0' option vlan '10' option ports '5t 6t' I see I have an existing one that is config switch_vlan option device 's...

Re: 1.7.1 How to diagnose bootloops (cause of reboot)

I seem to have the same problem. On 1.7.1 with a wr1043nd. Basically it's being used as an access point only at the moment. But after a couple of weeks I notice it in an infinite loop.

Has there been a solution to this yet? I wasn't too keen on beta/alpha builds or should I revert to 1.6?

Re: Upload DHCP table

Can you use the contents of /etc/ethers and /etc/host to populate another gargoyle instance (say moving from one to the other)? Is it just a matter of copying over, or do you need to do something to make it stick (ie not be overwritten by something in non volatile ram?) Yes just copy them over with...

Re: Bandwidth backup and restore

There are .bw files in /tmp/data/bwmon I tend to pull the bandwidth.csv file. I do currently put it into a program Ive written - but was wondering if anyone managed to figure a way of getting it into a permanent store? like mrtg or something? I was thinking of expanding my system to show different s...

Re: Add GUI for VLAN configurations

Sorry, my statement was supposed to be "I'd rather NOT get back into double natting". When my time finally comes for UFB, I'll look at the manual instructions. What else will cause the settings to be lost? Quota changes? Firewall port changes (probably the two most common things for changi...
